Abstract In the present work a model of evolution composition transition zone between material and pre-applied coating under conditions intense short-term thermal impulse is proposed. The pulse times are assumed to be comparable relaxation heat mass fluxes. This led need account for finite rates propagation in model, leading hyperbolic transfer equations. phenomena thermodiffusion (Soret effect) diffusive conductivity (Dufour some possible chemical reactions change also taken into account. nonlinear problem illustrates necessity really coupled solution reveal feature cross-effects irreversible conditions. It was found that due wave heating nature movement elements, can start during action short outside expected only conductivity.
